Learning doesn't stop in the summer! Students and parents are encouraged to learn more about these opportunities in our district, including the first-ever Summer Enrichment Program. These fee-based programs provide the opportunity for further exploration of an academic area or interest, or to try something new.
Female students entering grades 7 through 9 in the district next fall who have a strong interest in science and technology can now register for the Summer 2014 Engineering Institute for Young Women. The weeklong camp is being offered for a third year by the Niskayuna Central School District in partnership with GE Global Research. The Nisky "Summer Sonata" music program is a 2 week program designed for students entering grades 5-8 in the fall, who are already members of the Band, Choir, or Orchestra program: Grades 5-8 for Orchestra, Grades 6-8 for Band and Choir. This exciting opportunity is for students who enjoy music and wish to continue developing their musical skills during the summer with Niskayuna Music Faculty! Niskayuna Central School District is pleased to offer enrichment classes to K-12 students. Classes blend academic subjects with hands-on exploration and are taught by NCSD teachers and instructional staff.
