New date set for Middle School Transition Night for students with IEPs

Parents of fifth-grade students with IEPs (Individualized Education Program) are invited to attend an informational session about the transition to middle school, 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 26, in the Iroquois Middle School Library Media Center.

Parents will receive information about the roles and responsibilities of the special education staff, walk through the schedule of a middle school student with an IEP, and learn more about the continuum of special educations services at the middle school level

The impact of special education services on special area classes (music, art, physical education, home and careers) for fifth-graders will also be discussed.

The evening will close with an opportunity for parents to ask questions.
