Van Antwerp hosts No Place For Hate workshop

Van Antwerp MS Annual Ice Cream Social and Book Fair

Van Antwerp will be hosting their annual Ice Cream Social and Book Fair 6-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, in the Van Antrwep Cafeteria.

Ice cream and toppings will be served free of charge with our thanks to the Niskayuna CoOp market, Gillette Creamery and the VA PTO! Books are available for purchase as part of our Scholastic Book Fair.

No reservations needed. Come and join us for a great evening of friends, ice cream and books! This is a parent and student event. Please do not drop off children unattended.

Volunteers are needed to set up, scoop, serve, and clean up. Please contact Mr. Rakoczy at to sign up for a time or complete the form here and have your child drop it off to the Main Office.

Peanut and tree nut allergies

This year, Van Antwerp Middle School has a number of students with serious allergies to peanuts or tree nuts which require attention from the Van Antwerp school community, faculty, staff, students and families to facilitate lunch and snacks. The school is instituting building-wide procedures to help lessen the possibility of allergic reactions by those with peanut or tree nut allergies. [Read more]

The school district's Parent/Student Portal is now open for parents to complete the new, online "Returning Student Registration" process that was announced last spring.
